Media Research Publishing Ltd is a UK company founded in 1992 which specialises in financial research on the music industry and the publishing of authoritative Surveys on the subject.

It currently produces an annual Survey «The UK Record Industry Annual Survey» which examines the activity of UK record labels, music publishers, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, industry organisations and holding companies. This includes an unrivalled presentation of financial data and analysis.

The 2007 Edition, the ninth in the series, is available from early July 2007. Click here for details of the Survey.

In the past, the company has also produced the influential «Rock Accounts» an exhaustive Survey on the finances of UK Rock Stars. The last edition was in 1999.


Both Surveys are written by Cliff Dane, a chartered accountant and industry finance director. He is also the author of many articles for leading magazines and newspapers on subjects related to music and money, and is co-author of four leading industry-sponsored reports on the UK Music Industry
